Nangpa pass, des nouvelles

We’re happy to let you know that one of the Nangpa Pass detainees, a 15 year old boy named Jamyang, has arrived safely in Dharamsala, India. According to him, several of the Tibetans arrested following the September 30th attack by Chinese border troops at Nangpa Pass, between the border of Nepal and Tibet, have been freed. Sadly, he also describes the torture and mistreatment faced by the detainees at the detention centre in Shigatse, Tibet where they were held, including forced labour and beatings with electric-shock prods.
